Alvarez Family

Had a photoshoot yesterday afternoon with the Alvarez family. The Alvarez family are a close family friends of ours... and we've been wanting to do a photoshoot for a while now... It finally happened! :)

Archie & Ednalyn have one son... Miguel and one daughter... Victoria. There's a cool story behind how Miguel and Victoria got their names... but it's story not for me to tell! hehehe I'll just keep you guessing!

It was quite a hot day... and very sunny! Miguel and Victoria we're quite bothered by the sun... so we had to bribe them with ice cream! Worked like a treat! Even I got some ice cream at the end! Thanks Archie & Ednalyn for that yummy "New York Chunky Chocolate" ice cream on a waffle cone!

The Alvarez family is a very close family... What I mean by this is that they are very affectionate towards one another... It starts between Archie and Ednalyn... down to their kids. Miguel really acts as the 'big brother' and you can tell how much he loves his younger sister. The same goes with Victoria. You can tell that she looks up to her big brother.

After having a quick photoshoot, we decided to have a quick dinner with my family and the Alvarez family. We thought that by the time we finished dinner... the sun wouldn't be as strong... then we can continue with the photoshoot before the sun goes down.

Ahhh... time went passed too quickly! Next thing we knew... it was getting 'real dark. Archie wanted me to take a photo of his car (Mercedez Kompressor). So we did this very quickly! I could hardly see the car by this time... but my camera could still see it clearly! A hundred mosquitoes came out of nowhere... CLICK CLICK CLICK! We we're out of there!!! hahaha

What a day! :) I hope you enjoy some of the shots from that afternoon...

Mark & Cherie Mae

A friend of mine messaged me and told me that one of her friends is getting married in a couple of weeks time and in need of a photographer. The wedding ceremony was to be held at the Melbourne Marriage Registry's Office at 4.30pm on a Friday, and the couple just wanted to have some photos during the simple ceremony with family and then some photos around the area. It was short notice, but I jumped at the opportunity without even blinking! :)


Prior to the wedding, I have never met Mark or Cherie Mae. When they arrived at the ceremony, I shook Mark's hands and congratulated him... He said with a big smile, "Sorry I'm not Mark. I'm his dad!" hehe Ooopss.. I turned around and saw the 'real' Mark. He was very young and very tall! Cherie Mae was behind him... looking very beautiful and elegant. They truly make a very lovely couple!

The ceremony began as soon as everybody arrived and was over in literally 10 minutes... It was short...... but really sweet!!! :)

The Registry's Office is right next to the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens which was perfect! The weather was a different story though. A thunderstorm was about to hit... and to cut a long story short, heavy rain fell from the sky as soon as I took the last shot! What an awesome afternoon! :)

To Mark and Cherie Mae... CONGRATULATIONS!  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture one of the best moments of your life together. I wish you all the best!

Pieter and Trish

One of my previous post was about my friend Dee. After I did her photoshoot with Mak... she pretty much told all her friends about me! That if they needed a photographer... they can come and talk to me... :)

Aaahh... the power of word of mouth! :)

That's how I got to know Trish (Trisha). Trish is getting married to Pieter in a few weeks time. I felt really honoured to have been asked by Trish and Pieter to do a 'pre-wedding' shoot because I know that they've already booked a wedding photographer a while ago...

Pieter and Trish... such a lovely couple! Easy-going and very relaxed... :) I turned up at their front door at 6:30am and they we're ready to go! hehe Well... it was going to be a 40-degree (celcius) day after all... so we wanted to beat the heat! Plus, our photoshoot was at the beach... so we wanted to get in there before everybody goes for a swim!

All I can say is... Beautiful Couple + Beautiful Morning = Beautiful Shots!  :)

Maanas...

Meet Maanas... Gorgeous little boy of Sai and Vijaya...

I met Sai and Vijaya at Surya's 2nd year birthday party 2 months ago... (Surya is also in my blog). Vijaya told me that she would like me to take photos of their child soon after she gives birth... And now is that time! :)

Maanas is now 4 weeks old...  :)

I think Maanas is Daddy's Little Boy... at least for now! hehe Maanas would cry during the photoshoot... but as soon as he hears his Dad's voice... or as soon as his Dad gives him a cuddle, he would stop.

But then again... maybe it's just me and my huge camera and flash that Maanas found annoying! hehe Nevertheless... Maanas was such a pleasure to photograph! He's such a cute and energetic little boy! He has the most beautiful feet... as you'll see below.

To Sai and Vijaya... thank you very much for allowing me to capture some of these special moments of you and Maanas... I hope that you like the photos... as much as I enjoyed taking them...

Dee + Mak

Dee + Mak

Dee... she's a very good friend of mine... I've known her for about 7 years now since we started working at the same company back in 2003.

Dee is an absolutely wonderful person... What you see is what you get... Totally down-to-earth... There is nothing about Dee to dislike... :)

The whole time I've known Dee... I would always tease her about finding a boyfriend... getting married... etc... But she would always say... "Until I meet the right guy... it will probably be a while."

It's funny how everything turned out though... Because now, Dee is with Mak... And Mak... had always been Dee's friend since 2002! So he's always been there all along! :)

Anyway, how it all happened is not a story for me to tell... However, I can tell you this much... Dee and Mak are just perfect for each other. They have this undeniable chemistry between them... which I believe clearly portrays in the photos below...

There's a quote that says "Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning."

Between Dee and Mak, you can tell that 'Love' isn't just a word... It's a full conversation between their hearts!

It's a shame I won't be able to go to India to attend and photograph their wedding for various personal reasons. It would've been a truly wonderful experience!

But to Dee and Mak, CONGRATULATIONS! I wish the two of you all the best!
